When I return to Lake Forest, I have to go to The Lantern (it's the best patty melt in the world) and I love going over to the cemetery for a stroll. The Lake Forest Cemetery, designed by William Le Baron Jenney, is a great example of a rural style cemetery with winding paths and wooded glades. Some of the monuments were designed by famous architects and artists of the day.
